MBA in International Hospitality & Service Industries Management
with Leadership or Marketing
Program Overview
The MBA in International Hospitality & Service Industries Management is an intensive one-year graduate program beginning in January and July of each year. The first semester includes the Preparatory Knowledge Program and other courses which develop key skills for research methodology, financial management and business analysis. The second semester primarily focuses on the specialization courses for the Leadership or Marketing majors and the preparation of the required applied business project.

Learning on the MBA program
Glion’s MBA program develops analytical and intercultural skills through lectures, case studies, research projects, and interactions with our diverse group of students and faculty. These activities prepare our graduates to enter management teams and entrepreneurial ventures as business specialists, ready to analyze and improve performance in diverse service organizations. The value of this degree builds upon a first degree and professional experience by allowing the student to develop personal strategies for improving management practices.

Career Advancement
MBA graduates are actively recruited by major hotel companies around the world to enter management positions in hotels, restaurants and tourism businesses, as well as consultancy, business analysis, marketing, or financial management positions in any service organization.
Glion graduates have the opportunity to join the Glion Alumni Association , where they become life-long members of our worldwide network of alumni and industry partners. This membership gives them the opportunity to participate in social networking, access employment opportunities and share their career advancement with other alumni.
MBA Students Profile
In July 2012, the MBA program enrolled 53 students out of 74 applicants. The class is composed of 36 women and 17 men. The average age is 22-25 years old. The MBA class shares a rich cultural mix with 25 nationalities represented: 24% from all of Europe, 10% from North and South America, and 55% from Asia and Eastern Pacific countries. All of the MBA students entered the program with a Bachelor degree and some work experience in a service related position.
Online MBA Students Profile
With seven intakes now underway, over 120 students are now studying on the GIHE Online MBA. The combined classrooms are composed of 33% women and 67% men, with an average age of 37 years and 15 years of relevant working experience with 17% students gaining corporate sponsorship for their studies. The Online MBA boasts a cultural mix of 48 countries: 32% European, 16% from North and South America, and 52% from Africa, Asia and Eastern Pacific countries.
