Glion Students Raised Money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation
Glion students raised over 2,000CHF for the Make a Wish Foundation with a charity event.
The campus life leaders at Glion campus organized a charity event last week to raise money for the Make-A- Wish Foundation. The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants magical wishes to ill children living in Switzerland, to bring them hope, joy and strength to keep fighting their illness.
To raise funds, the campus life leaders sold silver stars during the week before the event for 6.00 CHF a star. On each silver star, one could mark a personal wish. These “wishes” were randomly selected during the event BBQ and the winner won a travel voucher. The voucher was for two people to spend two nights at the 4-star Design Hotel Nevai in Verbier, with massages and dinner. The Student Affairs Department showed support by donating refreshments, while the F&B department provided a generous selection of tasty food for the BBQ. All proceeds from the sales of food, drink, and the silver stars, went directly to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. In the end, this charity event raised 2,228.85 CHF for the foundation.
