Russian and Georgian media visit Glion Institute of Higher Education

High end media from Russia and Georgia such as ‘Komersant Dengi’ and ‘Ria Novosti’ in Moscow and ‘Georgia Today’ in Tbilisi visited Glion Institute of Higher Education (GIHE), one of the leading hospitality schools in the world for an international career.

The group of journalists had a busy program during their visit to GIHE. They discovered the facilities of Glion and Bulle and interviewed students from different programs and nationalities, including from their region. They also had the opportunity to meet the representatives of the academics and the management of Laureate Hospitality Education; GIHE being one of the eight institutions part of Laureate Hospitality Education (LHE), a leading hospitality group in the world. Present in five countries and four continents, LHE provides different transfer options as well as opportunities to study abroad.

The group of journalists also had the opportunity to meet with Iluka, a company recruiting GIHE students for the Olympic Games in London in 2012. “This visit is very important for us as we understand now that hospitality is much more than hotels but that students can work in events, sports or finance for instance.” said one of the journalists present.

To complete the visit of the institution, the media group headed to Lausanne and Geneva to visit the Beau Rivage Palace, the President Wilson and the Four Season to interview GIHE students and Alumni at work. It was also important for them to understand what kind of career or internship possibilities there are for GIHE students.

Many media from around the world come each year to visit GIHE and meet with the faculty and some of its students coming from almost 100 different nationalities.
