Admissions & Enrollment Help for Parents & Sponsors

The first step towards enrolling your student at Glion Institute of Higher Education should be to visit the Admissions pages on the website. There, you will find relevant information about the admissions requirements, key dates, how to apply, and document templates. 


Then, if you or your student have not already done so, you should also request a brochure, which will allow you to receive an information pack and be put in touch with an Education Counselor.

Student Accounting

Glion aims to simplify fee payments as much as possible. However, please be aware that payment is different across the campuses and divided by tuition and accommodation.

1. Visit www.glionchf.flywire.com and choose your country and the amount you are paying in CHF
2. Choose your payment method and make your payment
3. Enter your details and those of the student you are paying for
4. Track and confirm your payment by email, SMS or by logging into www.glionchf.flywire.com

How does the academic system work?

Please refer to the Academic Catalog for an explanation of the academic regulations. 

What happens during the first week on campus?

Week one of the semester is “induction week”. During this time students take care of any accounting issues, missing documents, register for courses and receive their room keys. It is also an opportunity to discover the campus and meet faculty, fellow students and roommates.

What is the passing grade for each course?
We mark out of 100% with 50% being the passing grade for each course. Please see the Academic Catalog for details on the grading system.
How do I know if my daughter/ son has passed the semester?

Students receive notfication of their grades at the end of each semester, so they can inform you directly. Please refer to the Academic Catalog for the regulations concerning progression. 

What if the student wants to change programs or program sequence?

The student should contact the Academic Office on campus if they have questions about changing their program. The Academic Catalog contains the lists of policies and procedures.

Can we talk to you about my daughter/ son’s academic progress and general situation without them being involved?

No. Due to legal reasons we cannot do this unless under exceptional circumstances and only with the student’s explicit permission and involvement. We expect students to start taking responsibility for their own actions and therefore it is they who should contact the relevant person at Glion for help and advice and then inform you of the outcome.

What do we do if we need the student to return home for family matters?

Students are required to abide by the absence policy as outlined in the Academic Catalog. They should manage these requests within the allocated allowances per course and avoid missing assessments and exams whenever possible.

Any significant period of absence should be organised in consultation with Student Affairs.
