Leadership Group: Jacques Tarit
Campus Facility Manager
Jacques joined Glion Institute of Higher Education in 2011. Both Swiss and French, he came to Glion with a deep knowledge of hospitality, acquired through his extensive experience as a restaurant owner.
After graduating from Ecole hoteliere de Thonon les Bains, Jacques also achieved a Brevet d’Etudes Professionnelles in Hotellerie Collectivites. He has served as Owner and Director for a range of restaurants in the French part of Switzerland.
Being an entrepreneur gave Jacques valuable experience in managing all the areas of a hospitality school, standing him in good stead for securing a role with Glion. Originally the school’s Infrastructure and F & B Manager, Jacques then became Infrastructure and Service Outlet Manager. In 2016, he was appointed Campus Manager for both Bulle and Glion campuses.
In his newest role, as Campus Facility Manager, Jacques is responsible for the planning, provision, management and development of all infrastructure (owned and rented), building security, and maintenance. It also ensures students and staff are provided with secure, quality living and studying environments.
