Spa and hotel managers, hotel owners, investors, bankers and anyone with financial or operational responsibility for a spa, or interested in understanding spa performance and profitability.

Pre-requisites: Professional Experience in Hospitality or in a Spa. Bachelor Degree in a Hospitality related degree.

Meet the faculty

Mariana Palmeiro

Mariana is an experienced spa and wellness expert heading the Glion Wellness to Business center. She has spent the last 10 years in Asia working on various development projects and spa and hotel operations.

Mariana finished a Master of Management in Hospitality from Cornell University in 2007 and moved to Asia to work for the renowned Mandara Spa. As a Project Manager, she has successfully developed and opened multiple spas and wellness resorts. She has been very active in the luxury end of hospitality, focusing on inspiring segments such as: wellness retreats design and development, sustainable growth strategies, and spa training and branding. Mariana has also worked as a General Manager for hotel management companies at leading hotels, such as Peppers Seminyak in Bali and various Mantra Groups properties in Indonesia and in Southeast Asia.
