In accordance with our status as one of the world’s leading hospitality business schools, Glion has a well-established and highly effective governance structure.
Governing Board
The Governing Board’s objective is to review the school’s mission, assure quality and integrity, review major changes in the curriculum, endorse strategic planning, monitor financial data and assess the Managing Director’s performance.









Leadership Committee
Glion Institute of Higher Education’s leadership structure is designed to guarantee responsible management of the institution’s resources, committed to achieving its mission and objectives.








Academic & Research Board
Academic & Research Board implements, monitors and reviews the academic, research and student experience of Glion Institute of Higher Education and takes responsibility for the achievement of Glion’s educational philosophies and plans.
The board is the principal academic, research and student experience body of Glion Institute of Higher Education.
The board advises the Leadership Committee, and through the Academic and Student Experience Standing Committee of the Governing Board, on pedagogical matters relating to teaching and learning, scholarship and research, and student experience within Glion Institute of Higher Education.
The board and its respective committees develop, implement and review academic policies and consider proposals for development and renewal of academic programs and courses in addition to research and student experience progress and opportunities.
The board works closely with the Leadership Committee and the Governing Board to ensure that Glion’s higher educational programs, curriculum design, and academic outcomes are of the highest quality and that the Leadership Committee has the data and analysis necessary for evidence-driven resource allocation decisions in academic, research and student experience areas.
Employee Committee
Comprising six members drawn from our Swiss campuses plus one member from London, this committee represents the interests of our employees, delivering advice and recommendations to school leadership via face-to-face meetings held throughout the year.
The Employee Committee is consulted in particular on cases concerning health protection, organization of working time and working conditions.
Student Government Association (SGA)
The Student Government Association (SGA) ensures that students’ voices are heard by faculty and management, as well as overseeing a variety of on-campus clubs and committees. The SGA is dedicated to promoting and enhancing the ‘Glion Spirit’, through engaging projects, exciting events, and enhancements made to the overall student experience.
Hospitality & Luxury Insight Council
The aim of the Hospitality & Luxury Insight Council is to build closer links between the school and the industries we serve.
The Council will bring key industry developments and evolving trends to the table, while at the same time suggesting appropriate mechanisms and directions for us to respond to these trends within out academic curricula and career services.
Through close liaison with our Leadership Committee and the Academic & Research Board, the Council will also provide a forum for strategic discussion, while assisting with industry related operational aspects of our Bachelor’s and Master’s programs, as well as enhancements to the students experience.








Alumni Association of Glion (AAG)
With more than 17,500 members worldwide, the AAG is an active community of Glion alumni. Under the direction of an Executive Board headed by the AAG President, the association nurtures the ongoing relationship between the school and former students, while also encouraging members’ personal growth through industry connections, job opportunities and lifelong learning.
