    Entry criteria

Provided you are enrolled in a Glion Bachelor’s degree with no visa requirement, you can join the Pathway to English Proficiency as long as you meet one of the accepted English language requirements, such as:

    • IELTS 5.0 overall (min. 4.5 in each subscore)
    • or Duolingo 105 (no subscore below 95)

Other equivalent and recognized English language tests may also be accepted.

    Why join?

The program is ideal if you:

    • Don’t require a visa to study in Switzerland.
    • Prefer to sharpen your English language skills alongside your Bachelor’s degree studies.
    • Learn best within a supportive, bilingual environment (French and Italian support available).

What and how you will learn

Our expert teachers help you master:

    • Grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation
    • Academic and professional communication
    • Reading, writing, listening and speaking skills

    You will learn:

    • 60 hours of intensive English classes in small groups and one-to-one sessions.
    • 120 hours of guided self-study to reinforce your progress.
    • Support from bilingual teachers (French or Italian) who personalize lessons to your goals.
    • Enjoy a vibrant classroom experience as you learn alongside students from other countries.
    • You’ll take progress tests throughout the semester, and a final English test to confirm your level before continuing with your Bachelor’s degree*.

    After the program – internship

The Pathway to English Proficiency completes at the end of your Experiential Year first semester. For your semester 2 professional internship, we strongly recommend choosing a position in a country where the predominant language is not your mother tongue. This will give you more opportunities to practice your newly acquired English skills to cement what you have learned.
