This Bachelor’s degree is a Bachelor of Science – or BSc – giving a clue to the business orientation of the curriculum. It’s all about the business of luxury, and it covers all the key sectors, from watchmaking to haute couture to hospitality – making it ideal for anyone who has ambitions for a management role regardless of their chosen luxury sector.
If hospitality is your passion, then you can head into hotels and restaurants, or events, luxury retail, and travel. Beyond this, there’s finance, real estate, automotive and jewelry, and even tech and governmental roles, all of which are recruiting our Bachelor’s graduates. You’ll also be prepared for the entrepreneurial pathway – one which many of our alumni take.
This is a business degree, packed with academic content that gets to the heart of what it takes to lead a successful business. It includes the essential operational knowledge and soft skills that modern managers must possess.
What is different to a ‘traditional’ business degree is its laser focus on luxury. This is not a generalist business degree, it’s a luxury business degree, because we know that luxury employers value the kind of specialized knowledge that will enable a new hire to hit the ground running. If you want to make your name in luxury, this is the degree to aim for.
In a nutshell, you will learn how the business of luxury works, including product design and manufacture, branding and marketing, corporate finance, supply chains and distribution channels, new technology, sustainability and governance. In addition, you will have the opportunity to work on an applied project with a real company.
You will gain a mixture of hard and soft skills. The ‘hard’ skills include knowledge in areas such as finance and accounting, also marketing, data analytics, legal, strategic management and much more.
The ‘soft’ skills are equally important to your future career. These include leadership skills, change management, talent management, and entrepreneurship. Plus you will acquire a year of employment experience through your three professional internships/on-the-job experience.
