Semester 1

International Hotel Development & Asset Management and Real Estate Investment Part I

Your opening semester is centered on international hotel development and asset management, featuring courses on global hotel & resort development, and hotel asset management.

You will also begin your exploration into real estate investment, plus this semester offers the necessary learning to achieve STR Certification in Hotel Industry Analytics (CHIA).

Semester 2

Real Estate Investment Part II and Investment Strategies & Financing

In your second semester, you will complete your deep dive into real estate investment, while also turning your attention to investment strategies and financing, with courses dedicated to capital markets, private equity, portfolio management and advanced financial modeling.

You will earn further professional accreditations in the form of STR Certification in Advanced Hospitality & Tourism Analytics (CAHTA), Bloomberg Certificate in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG), and Bloomberg Market Concepts (BMC) Certificate.

Semester 3

Business Research Project or Internship

Choose the Business Research Project option and produce an independent research project demonstrating advanced research skills, planning and self-management abilities as well as agility in information handling.

Opt to undertake an internship and you will carry out a six-month work placement then write an Applied Research Report to examine your experience as a further contribution to your professional development.

Hotel Real Estate Investment Strategy

Leverage your in-class learning and immerse yourself in the real estate investment process by creating an event featuring professional guest speakers at which you will showcase the screening and due diligence process for a real-life hotel and real estate asset purchase.

You will produce investment documents to aid decision making, learn how to design a strategy to achieve investors’ objectives and structure the funding portfolio.
