Committees & Clubs

Glion students drive their own extracurricular experience through a wide variety of committees dedicated to sports, wine, arts, charity, and more.

The Student Government Association (SGA) is elected to represent our student community. Its primary role is to:

Ensure students’ voices are heard
Organize committees and events
Foster leadership development

The Local Area

Glion campus is part of the municipality of Montreux, a short (15-25 mins) journey by public transport to the town center.

From lakeside walks to live music at the Montreux Jazz Café, the area offers plenty of downtime options for our students.

Sports & Activities

The Swiss take their sports and activities seriously, with every municipality investing in high quality facilities. Close to campus you will find opportunities to engage in:

Swimming, tennis, hiking, running, badminton, ping pong, yoga, boxing, cross fit, and stand-up paddle board, to name a few

Team Sports

Football, rugby, volleyball, or basketball

Winter Sports

Montreux offers easy transport links to popular destinations including Zermatt, Verbier and Crans-Montana

Montreux Jazz Festival

The highlight of the cultural calendar. It takes place in July each year and welcomes internationally renowned artists

Historic Buildings

There are also museums dedicated to the actor Charlie Chaplin, the rock band Queen and the art of chocolate-making

Switzerland’s geographical location at the heart of Europe – and its famously punctual and efficient train services – make it an ideal place from which to explore the continent.

From Montreux you can connect to cities across the country, as well as cross-border destinations like Milan (3 hrs 19 mins), Lyon (3 hrs 30 mins), and Chamonix Mont Blanc (2 hrs 9 mins)
