At Glion, we’ve been teaching the art of luxury hospitality since 1962. Now we’ve gathered all those years of hospitality know-how into a leadership experience program designed specifically for 18 to 26 year-olds.

Across one exciting and immersive week, you will enjoy the perfect introduction to this exciting, fast-growing and professionally-rewarding industry. Our Luxury Hospitality Leadership Experience is the perfect opportunity for you to sample the dynamic and diverse luxury hospitality industry, and to discover why Glion is the destination of choice for ambitious young talents seeking to forge successful, global careers.

Program highlights

During this one-week program, you will attend classes with Glion faculty, explore current and emerging issues shaping luxury hospitality, take part in practical workshops and go behind the scenes of leading hospitality businesses. Each element is connected, allowing you to take ideas from the classroom and see how they translate into real guest experiences, operations and business decisions.

Throughout the week, you will also work as part of a team on a real-world luxury hospitality challenge, culminating in a final presentation to Glion faculty and industry professionals.

Your experience is built around four interconnected academic themes, each exploring a critical dimension of the future of luxury hospitality:

One challenge

Just like a Glion student, you will not simply learn – you will be expected to apply, collaborate and present.

At the beginning of the week, you and your team will receive your challenge:

“Design an innovative luxury guest experience for an international luxury hospitality brand.”

Your project will become the connecting thread throughout your week.

As you progress through your academic classes, practical workshops and industry experiences, you will gather insights and inspiration that you can apply directly to your concept.

You will consider the expectations of tomorrow’s luxury traveller, map the guest journey, explore emotional and service dimensions, evaluate opportunities created by AI and innovation, and think about how your concept could be delivered by a real hospitality team.

Glion faculty will coach you as your project develops, challenging you to turn your ideas into a compelling and credible proposition.

On the final day, your team will pitch its concept to Glion faculty and industry professionals – giving you a taste of the collaborative project work and presentations that form an important part of studying at Glion.

Bachelor or Master degree offer

After completion, any student who enrolls in a Glion Bachelor or Master degree program will have the Luxury Hospitality Leadership Experience fee deducted from the first semester’s tuition fees*. This offer is not valid with any other scholarship package.

*Offer valid for three years from the start of your Luxury Hospitality Summer Program.

Entry requirements

Age
Students must be over the age of 18, and under the age of 27 years old at the start of the program.

Health Insurance
Students must have a valid health insurance for Switzerland.

English Language Qualification
If English is not your first language, or if you have not spent the last two years studying in a school where English is the primary language of instruction, please enclose a copy of one of the following:

  • International English Language Test (IELTS): 4.5
  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): Overall 3.0
  • First Cambridge Exam: Grade C
  • A letter of recommendation from a high school teacher could also be considered
